Preparing for college is always challenging. Even in the best of circumstances, college can feel like a foreign country compared to high school – different rules, demanding classes, new relationships, shifting responsibilities. But in the aftermath of the pandemic, college will be even tougher. That is why planning properly for the post-COVID campus is more essential than ever before.
This virtual, interactive workshop will help students and their families develop the right “flight plan” for the new college journey. First, we will discuss the changing dynamics of universities and how hidden challenges and obstacles can be turned into opportunities for students to get ahead. Then, we will highlight critical skills that successful students learn in order to stay on course and weather most any storm. Finally, we will provide resources to help you map out goals and contingencies for navigating the first semester, no matter how bumpy the flight gets.
Getting into college is just the first step. Getting everything you want out of college is the ultimate destination. We’ll help you get there.
This event is designed for students (and their parents / guardians / responsible family members) who are attending college this year - especially first-year students but suitable for older students as well. This virtual workshop costs $40 per student and up to four of their adult family members.
